🇬🇧 ENGLISH VERSION
1. General Terms
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Decorated by Danielle, including but not limited to painting, decorating, tiling, plastering, exterior works, cleaning, interior design, and light installation coordination.
By accepting a quotation, making a booking, or allowing work to commence, the client agrees to these Terms & Conditions in full.
2. Scope of Work
All works are carried out strictly in accordance with the written quotation.
Any item, service, or task not explicitly included in the quotation is excluded and may incur additional cost.
No assumptions should be made regarding inclusion of works not clearly stated.
3. Unforeseen Works & Variations (IMPORTANT)
All quotations are based on visible conditions at the time of inspection.
If additional work becomes necessary due to:
Hidden damage
Damp or mould
Structural issues
Substandard previous work
Surface instability
Uneven substrates
Electrical or installation limitations
This will be treated as unforeseen work and:
✔ Will be paused and discussed with the client
✔ Will be quoted separately
✔ Must be approved before continuation
Decorated by Danielle reserves the right to refuse continuation of work where conditions are unsuitable without additional remedial works being carried out.
4. Definitions of Services
🎨 Painting & Decorating
Standard Painting
Application of paint using brush, roller, or spray to achieve a professional finish.
Coats of Paint
Unless stated otherwise, quotations include two coats. Additional coats required due to substrate condition, colour change, or client preference are chargeable.
🪵 Surface Preparation
Light Sanding
Manual or light preparation to smooth surfaces and remove minor imperfections.
👉 Does NOT include removal of multiple paint layers or levelling uneven surfaces.
Heavy / Mechanical Sanding
Use of powered machinery to remove coatings or correct uneven surfaces.
👉 Only included if specified.
🧱 Plastering & Wall Preparation
Skimming (Light Plastering)
Application of a thin finishing coat to improve surface smoothness.
Full Plastering / Re-Skimming
Application of full plaster layers to walls or ceilings.
👉 Only included if specified.
Plaster Repairs (Minor)
Small patch repairs to damaged areas.
Plaster Repairs (Major)
Extensive repairs, bonding, or full wall re-levelling.
👉 Not included unless stated.
🪵 Woodwork & Joinery Painting
Includes:
Doors
Frames
Skirting boards
Built-in furniture
Standard Preparation includes light sanding and cleaning.
👉 Removal of heavy varnish, oil-based coatings, or damaged wood requires additional work and is not included unless specified.
💡 Lighting, Electrical & Ceiling Works
Light Fitting Installation
Refers to replacement or installation of standard light fittings.
👉 Electrical works requiring certification must be carried out by a licensed electrician and are not included unless specifically arranged.
LED Lighting Installation
Includes fitting LED strips to walls, ceilings, or recesses.
👉 Does not include:
Electrical rewiring
Structural alterations
Custom carpentry or joinery
Ceiling Lowering / Suspended Ceilings
Refers to installation of lowered ceilings (e.g., plasterboard systems).
👉 Does not include:
Structural engineering
Load-bearing modifications
Electrical certification
🧱 Tiling
Standard Tiling
Installation on prepared, level surfaces.
👉 Does NOT include:
Floor levelling
Waterproofing
Structural correction
🌿 Exterior Works
Includes:
Exterior painting
Jet washing
Surface cleaning
👉 Weather conditions may delay works and affect finish.
🧼 Cleaning Services
Standard and deep cleaning as agreed.
👉 Does not include hazardous, biohazard, or specialist cleaning unless stated.
5. Limitations of Liability (IMPORTANT)
Decorated by Danielle shall not be held liable for:
Pre-existing defects or structural issues
Hidden damage not visible at time of quotation
Work affected by poor previous workmanship
Natural movement of buildings (cracks, shifts)
Colour variations due to lighting conditions
Manufacturer defects in materials supplied
Delays caused by third parties or suppliers
Liability is strictly limited to the value of the work carried out.
6. Materials & Finishes
Where materials are selected by the client:
The client accepts responsibility for suitability
Additional labour due to material issues is chargeable
7. Client Responsibilities
The client must:
Provide safe and unobstructed access
Remove or protect belongings
Ensure utilities are available
Inform of known issues prior to work
8. Health & Safety
We reserve the right to stop work if:
Conditions are unsafe
Surfaces are unsuitable
Access is restricted
9. Timeframes
All timeframes are estimates and subject to:
Weather
Drying times
Additional works
Client changes
10. Payments
Deposit may be required
Stage payments may apply
Final payment due upon completion
Failure to pay may result in suspension of services.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate work if:
Payment terms are not met
Unsafe conditions arise
Client breaches agreement
12. Acceptance
Engaging our services confirms full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

1. Geral
Estes Termos e Condições aplicam-se a todos os serviços prestados pela Decorated by Danielle, incluindo pintura, decoração, aplicação de azulejos, estuque, manutenção exterior, limpeza, carpintaria, iluminação e design de interiores.
Ao aceitar um orçamento, adjudicar um trabalho ou permitir o início dos serviços, o cliente concorda integralmente com estes Termos e Condições.
2. Âmbito do Trabalho
Todos os trabalhos serão realizados de acordo com o orçamento escrito fornecido.
Qualquer trabalho não expressamente mencionado no orçamento é considerado excluído e poderá ser cobrado à parte.
3. Trabalhos Imprevistos e Custos Adicionais
Os orçamentos baseiam-se nas condições visíveis no momento da avaliação.
Caso sejam identificados problemas não visíveis, incluindo mas não limitados a:
Danos ocultos
Humidade ou bolor
Defeitos estruturais
Trabalhos anteriores deficientes
Superfícies instáveis ou irregulares
Problemas elétricos ou limitações técnicas
Estes serão considerados trabalhos imprevistos e:
✔ Serão comunicados ao cliente
✔ Serão orçamentados separadamente
✔ Só serão executados após aprovação
A empresa reserva-se o direito de suspender os trabalhos até resolução adequada.
4. Definições dos Serviços
🎨 Pintura e Decoração
Pintura Standard
Aplicação de tinta com trincha, rolo ou spray para um acabamento profissional.
Número de Demãos
Salvo indicação em contrário, incluem-se duas demãos. Demãos adicionais poderão ser cobradas.
🪵 Preparação de Superfícies
Lixagem Leve
Preparação manual ou ligeira para remover pequenas imperfeições.
👉 Não inclui remoção profunda de tinta.
Lixagem Pesada / Mecânica
Utilização de maquinaria para remoção intensiva ou nivelamento.
👉 Apenas incluída se especificado.
🧱 Estuque / Pladur (Plastering)
Reparações Leves
Pequenas correções e preenchimento de imperfeições.
Estucagem Completa / Regularização
Aplicação completa de estuque ou nivelamento de superfícies.
👉 Não incluído salvo indicação.
🪵 Madeira e Carpintaria (Woodwork)
Inclui pintura de:
Portas
Rodapés
Aros
Mobiliário embutido
👉 Remoção de vernizes pesados ou madeira danificada não está incluída.
💡 Iluminação e Trabalhos Elétricos
Instalação de Iluminação
Instalação ou substituição de luminárias simples.
👉 Trabalhos elétricos certificados devem ser realizados por profissionais licenciados e não estão incluídos, salvo acordo.
💡 Iluminação LED
Instalação de fitas LED em paredes ou tetos.
👉 Não inclui:
Alterações estruturais
Instalações elétricas complexas
Carpintaria personalizada
🏗️ Rebaixamento de Tetos
Instalação de tetos falsos (pladur).
👉 Não inclui:
Alterações estruturais
Projetos de engenharia
Certificação elétrica
🧱 Azulejos (Tiling)
Aplicação Standard
Instalação em superfícies adequadas.
👉 Não inclui:
Nivelamento de pisos
Impermeabilização
Correções estruturais
🌿 Trabalhos Exteriores
Inclui:
Pintura exterior
Lavagem à pressão
Limpeza de superfícies
👉 Sujeito a condições climatéricas.
🧼 Limpeza
Serviços de limpeza geral ou profunda conforme acordado.
👉 Não inclui limpeza especializada ou de risco.
5. Limitação de Responsabilidade
A Decorated by Danielle não se responsabiliza por:
Problemas pré-existentes
Danos ocultos
Defeitos estruturais
Trabalhos anteriores de má qualidade
Movimentos naturais do edifício
Diferenças de cor devido à iluminação
Defeitos de materiais fornecidos por terceiros
Atrasos causados por terceiros
👉 A responsabilidade está limitada ao valor do trabalho realizado.
6. Materiais
Quando os materiais são escolhidos pelo cliente:
A responsabilidade pela adequação é do cliente
Custos adicionais devido a problemas com materiais serão cobrados
7. Responsabilidades do Cliente
O cliente compromete-se a:
Garantir acesso seguro ao imóvel
Remover ou proteger bens pessoais
Disponibilizar água e eletricidade
Informar sobre problemas existentes
8. Condições de Trabalho e Segurança
A empresa reserva-se o direito de suspender os trabalhos se:
Existirem condições inseguras
As superfícies não forem adequadas
O acesso for limitado
9. Prazos
Os prazos são estimativas e podem ser afetados por:
Condições climatéricas
Tempos de secagem
Trabalhos adicionais
Alterações solicitadas pelo cliente
10. Pagamentos
Pode ser exigido depósito
Podem aplicar-se pagamentos faseados
O pagamento final é devido na conclusão
A falta de pagamento pode resultar na suspensão dos trabalhos.
11. Rescisão
A empresa reserva-se o direito de rescindir o contrato se:
Os pagamentos não forem cumpridos
Existirem condições inseguras
O cliente violar os termos acordados
12. Aceitação
A aceitação do orçamento ou início dos trabalhos implica a aceitação integral destes Termos e Condições.
